BLOG: Meet Vets for Pets Blackpool Warbreck Apprentice Veterinary Nurse, Jade Dalton
One of our truly inspirational colleagues with a career journey that shows what is possible at Pets.
Have you ever wanted to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse and wondered how you can achieve your career goal? We spoke with Jade Dalton, our apprentice Veterinary Nurse to share her story and how she managed to begin her journey to success. Here at Vets for Pets we are proud of our colleagues and love to see them grow and develop within our business, so a story like Jade’s is an inspiring read.
What apprenticeship have you undertaken/are currently undertaking?
I am currently doing the Veterinary Care Support apprenticeship.
Why did you choose this apprenticeship?
I have worked at Vets for Pets for almost 9 years working as front of house, but I always wanted to be a veterinary nurse. As a single mum this was not possible in the past but now my children have gotten older, I decided to get the ball rolling and begin the career I have always wanted.
What are the benefits?
For me, the major benefit is earning whilst you are learning. I can study for my apprenticeship and work within a supportive environment, all whilst earning a wage.
How has the apprenticeship helped your career?
I have loved progressing my career at Blackpool Warbreck and learning new things every day.
Would you recommend doing an apprenticeship to others?
Yes, I would absolutely recommend an apprenticeship to others.
