Job Description
Southend- on-Sea Vets for Pets are looking for a talented veterinary surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team!
The practice opened their doors as a standalone practice in 2012 and have a lovely, loyal and varied client base. We see a wide variety of medical and surgical cases, including exotics and orthopaedics. We have a growing number of insured clients allowing cases to be thoroughly investigated and worked up to a high standard.
We pride ourselves on being a family feeling team with lots of fun and laughter whilst providing excellent gold standard care. Our team is led by Gavin Young MRCVS, who has a keen interest in orthopaedics. Our team consists of 1 JVP/Vet, 3 Vets, 5 RVNs, 4 client care advisors and a practice manager. We are all friendly, approachable, close-knit team that is looking forward to welcoming someone new to join us.
We are a well-equipped surgery, with a laparoscopic kit, on site ultrasound, digital and dental X-Ray, Multiparameter Monitor, Rigid Endoscope, separate dog and cat ward, isolation ward, in house lab and diathermy machine. The existing team have interests and certificates in areas including exotics, orthopaedics, feline medicine and Critical Care.
The Ideal vet to join us will:
- Be personable
- Independent, proactive, uses their initiative, a team player, and has excellent communication skills
- Understand the value of good communication, wanting to build a rapport with our clients, patients and colleagues
- Special interests will be encouraged and supported.
The role is Full Time, 40 hours a week and 1 in 4 weekends (Saturday 9am-12pm, no Sundays, OOH or bank.
