About us
Bletchley Vets for Pets invites you to join our friendly and welcoming team at our small animal practice located in the vibrant Beacon Retail Park. We can offer a fantastic location to work being just a 5-minute drive from Milton Keynes city centre, and we are conveniently situated with direct train links to London in under 40 minutes and close connections to Luton and Heathrow airports. 

We boast some great equipment such as ECG, high spec' Imotek veterinary ultrasound with cardiac lead and table, Idexx haematology and chemistry electrolytes, digital x-ray, dental suite (with dental x-ray) and tonometry. We have recently finished a large extension with 2 new consult rooms, refurbished operating theatre, diagnostic imaging room, office space and colleague room.

You’ll be joining an existing team of 6 vets, 3 Nurses (including our brilliant students) and 4 VCA’s.

About you
Nurses are the heart of our practice and perform an integral clinical role in caring for our patients. We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic team player who is keen to work in a progressive, fast paced first opinion practice, with high clinical standards.  The key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the veterinary nurse role, delivering excellent patient and client care. 

There is potential for this to be a senior nurse role with growth potential for suitably experienced and motivated candidates

About the role
This is a full time role working 8 hour days. Shifts will be split between the following hours Monday to Friday, typically 8:00 am - 4:30pm, 9:00am - 5:30pm and 10:30 – 7:00pm. 

The role includes 1 in 6 weekends working 8:00am – 5:00pm Saturday and 10:30am - 3:30pm Sunday. There is TOIL for weekends worked which is usually Tuesday off following weekend, a shorter day by 1.5 hours Friday prior to weekend and a shorter day by 4 hours on Friday following weekend

You will be joining an existing team of 6 vets, 3 Nurses (including our brilliant students) and 4 VCA’s.

By joining us you will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to their full potential, admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovering, and discharging patients. Assistance from VCAs and an SVN with turning around theatre, patient prep.
