Our small animal training practice in Epsom is looking for a Veterinary Care Assistant to join our friendly and welcoming team on a permanent basis!

About us:
We are based inside a busy Pets at Home store offering free onsite parking and ideally situated close to the town centre and within a 7 minute walk of Epsom train station.

The practice offers a range of state of the art equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound with Doppler, a growing orthopaedic kit and separate dog and cat wards. You will be joining a fun, hardworking, dedicated team of 3 vets, 3 RVNs, 1 Practice Manager, 2 SVNs, 3 VCAs and 1 receptionist, all trying to make a difference to our clients by offering exceptional client care with community at our core. Our partner Lenesa (head vet) has a wealth of managing and veterinary experience and enjoys building, supporting and working with her fantastic team!

About you:
You will be a Veterinary Care Assistant who enjoys working as part of a great team, who has good all round skills and fantastic communication skills.

About the role:
The role involves animal handling and predominantly supporting the veterinary team in all aspects of clinical practice, therefore we are ideally looking for candidates with previous experience. There will be significant reception and front of house responsibility with the role therefore you will also need to have strong communication and computer skills and previous customer service experience. You will also be responsible for keeping multiple areas of the practice clean and tidy and so the ideal candidate should take pride in cleaning and appearances. The successful candidate must be within 30 minutes travel distance to the practice.

Our rotas are designed to be as fair as possible and the new position required will be as flexible as possible and could be 4 days a week, with part time hours considered for the right candidate. The hours will also include a shared weekend rota of 1 in 3. There are no OOH which means that all of our team get to enjoy an excellent work/life balance which we actively promote, knowing how important it is for a happy workplace!
