You would be looking at a 4 day week with the addition of 1 in 3 Saturdays. Our rota is arranged for the year ahead and is available to view on RotaCloud. This can be viewed online or via an App, to request holidays or swap shifts.

We are an RCVS accredited practice, a Training Practice, a Silver cat friendly clinic and we are looking towards becoming Fear Free accredited. We have onsite digital radiography, doppler ultrasonography, dental equipment, IDEXX lab machines, microscope and a good range of surgical instruments. 

We very much encourage the further development of our team.  We will provide in house training and mentorship. We fund and encourage our vets to pursue their interests and do further qualifications such as a certificates and we are open to any CPD or further qualification requests. One of our JVPs is a surgical certificate holder and the other has the ISFM Advanced Certificate in Feline Behaviour. 

We have invested in Team Diversity & Inclusion CPD for the whole team which was run by MindOut - LGBTQ Mental Health Service as this was identified as a topic that was important to our team members. We hope to make our practice as inclusive as possible to clients and colleagues who are part of the LGBTQ+ family.  We have an open-door policy and a mental health first aider within the practice. We are also in the process of applying for an Autism Friendly Award to support our clients and colleagues.

The rest of our team is made up of three vets including Fiona and Chris Coutts our JVPs, four RVNs, one Practice Manager/RVN and four experienced client care advisors.  Owing to the interests of our team we can keep a large proportion of our varied caseload in-house providing opportunities to build experience in whichever area you would like.

You will find our practice in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF2 9SD. Proximity to Leeds, the M1 and M62 allows for excellent transport links for travel by road, rail and to airports. We’re a short walk away from Westgate and Kirkgate Station and have free onsite parking. We are in a busy retail park with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
