Job Description

As one of our Nurses nears her maternity leave, we have begun the search for an RVN to join us at Leeds Vets for Pets! This a fixed term role with the potential to become permanent, and we are open to discussing a work pattern that suits you!

This role is perfect if you’ve had some time out and would like to dip your toe back into nursing, or if you’re currently a locum but considering some stability over the next year financially. Maybe you’d just like to work in a great practice with a fantastic team and see where it takes you!

You’ll be joining a hard-working and inclusive team who are passionate about being at the heart of the local community. We have a fantastic non-clinical team to support the client journey, freeing up our Nurses to carry out their roles effectively.

We’re a small team of 6 Nurses with varying lengths of experience, so being supportive of one another and nurturing our SVNs to grow is important to us. We take pride in being a close-knit team with great communication. 

We know our nurses are veterinary professionals, and as such we ensure that they’re able to fulfil their clinical potential and encourage and support them to undertake CPD opportunities. You’ll see a wide range of cases here and with 4 Vets in the team there’s plenty of opportunities to use all your skills with a mix of theatre and consults in your day. An interest in clinical supervising / training experience would be an asset, but not essential.

This position can be fully flexible hours, full or part time, with no out of hours. Ideally, you’ll work some weekends on a fair rota basis, shared with the rest of the team, but we’re open to suggestions.
