- You will be joining the practice at a very exciting time as it has just gone through a recent expansion and now has 4 consult rooms a dental and imaging suite, a separate induction area, prep room and lab room, a large colleague space, and a quiet waiting area. This is to support our colleagues, patients, and work towards becoming a Fear Free practice.
- The practice is in a great location as it is a commutable distance from North Manchester but is also at the base of the Pennines giving you access to the best of both worlds.
- You will be an experienced vet who is confident in routine surgery looking for your next steps in your career. Helen and her team are happy to support this, providing support with CPD and Certificates
- This role is looking to pay up to £70,000 (FTE, DOE)
- A relocation can be discussed (Subject to T&Cs)*

- 1:4 Saturdays, no Sundays or OOHs

We are on the edge of town, with the M65 and train station only ¼ of a mile from the practice. Colne is a rural based town with access to Manchester for city life, or outdoor activities and walks in the Dales and Lakes on your days off.

Helen, our vet and practice owner, is supported by a great crew of 4 Vets, 4 RVN's, 2 SVNs, 2 VCA's and a reception team, led by the experienced Practice Manager, on hand to support the whole team and offer you fantastic support to achieve your career goals. We are passionate about allowing all our veterinary surgeons work up their own cases and explore all possibilities to support our clients and provide the best care possible to our patients, so if you are someone who loves to go that step further, this role could be perfect for you
We have a good variety of clients and cases, with referrals being available, but due to our client base we do a lot of work up in house. Equipment includes doppler ultrasound, operating loupes, electrosurgery unit, tonometry, dental x-ray, and a growing orthopaedic kit.
We are looking for a full-time experienced vet, but we can also consider flexible hours for the right candidate. Rota -1 in 4 Saturdays (9am-5:45pm), no Sunday working or OOHs after 7pm. We have 20-minute sick pet consults and also catch up and admin time of over 1 hour rostered into the day.
We encourage socialising outside of work to create a family friendly environment in work, so include the odd chippy tea nights, rounders events, a lambing party(!) and walks in the local hills on our days off.
For this position we can offer up to £70,000, dependent upon experience and qualifications (FTE). We understand that everyone circumstances are different so if you are looking to relocate, we are happy to discuss a relocation package as well.
