What is the Recommend a Friend scheme?

If you recommend a friend for a role in a practice or the support office you are entitled to the below;

For a JVP recommendation for an existing practice you will receive £2,500 (payable by the recruiting practice)
For a JVP recommendation for a new practice you will receive £2,500 (payable by the Support Office)
For a Veterinary Surgeon recommendation you will receive £1,000 (payable by the recruiting practice)
For a Veterinary Nurse recommendation you will receive £500 (payable by the recruiting practice)
For a Receptionist, Practice Manager or Veterinary Care Assistant recommendation you will receive £250 (payable by the recruiting practice)
For a Support office colleague you will receive £250 (payable by the Support Office)

Terms and Conditions

Online claim forms are to be submitted before your friend’s start date, otherwise a payment will not be made
Your friend is to be submitted for a live vacancy, which is to be detailed on the online claim form, a list of vacancies can be found on https://vacancies.vets4petscareers.com/vacancies/vacancy-search-results.aspx.
Ensure you have notified your practice partner or manager of the claim before submitting it
If an application has already been received for your friend either via an agency or by them applying directly themselves, a payment will not be made
The payment is subject to tax and NI deductions and will be paid in the next payroll following the completion of your friend’s probation or in the case of a new JVP, the opening of the practice
The scheme is open to all unless you are a decision maker in that particular piece of recruitment
The £2,500 for a JVP is a payment based on the friend referred taking on a 100% JVP ownership. If a referral is for a JVP who takes on a smaller % share of the new practice, then the payment will be pro-rated in line with the new JVP's % share of the practice. There is an upper limit of £2,500 payable per practice
If you refer more than 1 friend, who go on to open one practice together, the maximum payment is £2,500
If your friend is already working within a Vets4Pets or Companion Care practice or in the Support Office, they cannot be recommended for a role in another practice or team
If you are a JVP who recommends a friend and you go into partnership with that friend, a payment will not be made
If you leave the business before your friend has passed probation, a payment will not be made
The business reserves the right to withdraw, vary or amend the scheme at any time
